Charles Lewis founded the Center for Public Integrity in 1989, which conducts investigations and has published hundreds of investigative reports and books. He believes that the corruption in American politics is a gross misuse of public resources and a distortion of public policy, although most officials have substantial integrity.

The Chairman of George Washington University's Department of Forensic Sciences, Moses Schanfield, relates his experiences as a forensic scientist and explains how examining the results of crimes can change someone. He has learned that forensic science is very critical for the enforcement of law.
