Frequent-flier plans: which pays off best?

Article Abstract:

Frequent fliers have enjoyed such benefits as upgrades and free flights on airlines since the programs were implemented. The airlines have made few changes to the programs since 1994, and a comparison of the programs allows fliers to select an airline that best suits their needs and habits.

Frequent-flier plans: pick your personal best

Article Abstract:

The rules for frequent-flier programs have changed to make earning credits or using credits more restrictive. Flights in economy class do not earn the same amount of mileage for each airline, and use of partner services does not always guarantee mileage because of restrictions.

Foreign frequent-flier programs: good deal - for a few travelers

Article Abstract:

Foreign airlines offer frequent-flyer program membership, but the benefits are not as great as they are for those offered by domestic airlines. Differences include credit based on the price of the ticket, faster expiration time of credit and varying levels of awards.
