Kerala, India

Article Abstract:

A man travels to the state of Kerala in Southern India to witness firsthand the state's social policies. There is hardly any illiteracy, infant mortality is low, and people live nearly as long as Europeans. This is unusual for a part of a developing nation. The Keralites enjoy reading the newspaper and talking about politics.
