Kingdom in the clouds

Bhutan is a small insular society located in the Himalaya Mountains between India and Tibet. Bhutan has few links with the outside world and no television or daily newspapers. The scenery is magnificent and the society moves to ancient rhythms and is barely touched by modernity.

Longing for Kyoto

Kyoto was Japan's capital for more than 1,000 years and thus served as a cradle for Japanese art, culture and traditions. Unfortunately, the city's old buildings and historic sites are under threat of demolition to make way for modern buildings and other infrastructure.
