JAPAN: KIRIN TO SELL BUDWEISER UNDER LICENCE

Kirin Brewery has signed an agreement with Anheuser-Busch, the world's leading brewery, whereby Kirin will brew, distribute and sell the Budweiser brand of beer, starting on January 1, 2000. The Budweiser Japan Co. Ltd joint venture is to be dissolved.
