Buenos Aires, Argentina, is an easy overnight flight, while Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, has attractions including art galleries and whale-watching. Montego Bay, Jamaica, is also recommended.

Currently, a regional cellular telephone service that enables callers to connect to any point in the network is only available in Europe.

Hotel and airlines are working to improve their services for and to address specific needs of women travelers. Women now comprise 38% of the traveling services clients and are slowly climbing up to match men's share in the industry by 2000.
