Red Wing renaissance

Article Abstract:

The town of Red Wing, MN, is located on the Mississippi River, southeast of Minneapolis. In the early 1900s the town's economy revolved around a shoe company and pottery manufacturing. City officials initiated a program to beautify the town, and as a result many old buildings were restored.

Wisconsin whimsy

Article Abstract:

The House on the Rock is an unusual tourist destination located about 9 miles south of Spring Green, WI. The uniquely-designed house features a wide array of collections ranging from antique weapons to mechanical toys to porcelain dolls.
