Spirits and stones

Article Abstract:

The family connections to the war brought Jim Walsh and Ken Grunley together to form a joint venture with a company Tompkins Builders to win the contract to build a World War II Memorial in the US to honor the veterans of the war. Mementos from loved ones, quotations from generals and presidents, and gold stars to honor the fallen are put in the memorial's stone and foundation as a tribute to those perished in the war.
