Why hunters and fishers subject themselves to the harsh outdoors to catch game is hard to understand. They are not motivated by competition, or by the number of game they kill. Their reward lies in the process of hunting, the experimentation and the surprises.

A man whose friend works at the Alaska Dept of Fish and Game describes their friendship and the great, secret fishing spots his friend shares with him. A small lake which had rainbow trout in it provided a memorable evening.
