Senseless killings could have been prevented if gun laws were stiffly enforced. In Richmond, VA, law enforcers implemented Project Exile wherein federal laws were rigidly imposed to prevent illegal possession of firearms. Within 18 months, the city's rate of criminal gun misuse lowered by 40%.
