Personal experiences on a two-week tour of Ethiopia are presented. Addis Adaba, Ethiopia's capital, claims that it has the biggest open-air market in Africa, which is the Merkato, while Ethiopia's Lake Tana was both large and lovely with its shores surrounded by monasteries. Recommendations on books to read before conducting a trip to Ethiopia are also given.

Bhutan was observed to be home to a wonderful culture and caring people while the tour of Viet Nam features constant reminder of the damages brought by the American War. An evaluation of the tour is given.
