Article Abstract:

Two popular muffin recipes are presented. These are the Butter tart muffins recipe, which has become Chatelaine magazine readers' most requested muffin recipe, and the Lemon poppy seed muffin recipe, high-rise muffins made crunchy with poppy seeds. Muffins go well with a hot cup of tea.

A list of favorite muffin recipes were solicited. The winning recipes were awarded to a homemaker from Alberta, who gave a recipe for butter tart muffins and another from Saskatchewan, who gave a recipe for rhubarb oatmeal muffins.

Maple-syrup muffins with sweet maple-butter icing have a rich maple taste and are a pleasant complement to a hot cup of tea in the late afternoon. The muffin itself may be made using soft margarine or unsalted butter.
