The decline and fate of an iron-induced subarctic phytoplankton bloom

Article Abstract:

The simulation of phytoplankton bloom in high-nitrate and low-chlorophyll waters is highly dependent on the extent of iron supply. The decline and fate of the iron-simulated bloom in the gulf of Alaska, that terminated after the depletion of iron and silicic acid, is described.
