An optical counterpart to the anomalous X-ray pulsar 4U0142+61

Article Abstract:

Anomalous X-ray pulsars are called thus because their energy source is unknown. New research has identified an optical counterpart to the anomalous radio pulsar 4U0142+61, making it possible to speculate the source of its energy, which could be a magnetar.

A test of general relativity from the three-dimensional orbital geometry of a binary pulsar

Article Abstract:

Research describing radio observations of a binary millisecond pulsar is presented. In particular a test of general relativity is observed by means of the Shapiro delay and the mass of the star and its companion are determined.

Identification of the nebula G70.7+1.2 as a bow shock powered by a pulsar/Be-star binary

Article Abstract:

Nonthermal radiation detected from the nebula G70.7+1.2 could be explained as emissions from the wind of a pulsar, imparted with relativistic velocity by the bow shock of a companion Be star moving through the the pulsar's wind. The velocity of the system is consistent with its being a binary system. No other explanation can account for both the nonthermal radiation and the system's velocity.
