Admission on Gulf War vaccines spurs debate on medical records

Article Abstract:

The United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (MOD) has owned up about administering a dangerous vaccine combination to British soldiers who were taking part in the Gulf War. An MOD report, which describes an experimental pertussis and anthrax vaccine treatment programme, has prompted critics to press for a review of military medical research. The MOD refused to heed warnings about the treatment from the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control and is being blamed for the soldiers' ill-health.
