An arid-adapted middle Pleistocene vertebrate fauna from south-central Australia

Article Abstract:

A diverse and exceptionally well-preserved middle Pleistocene vertebrate assemblage from caves beneath the treeless Nullarbor plain of south-central Australia is reported. The diverse herbivore assemblage has implied greater floristic diversity than that of the modern shrub steppe, however all other faunal and stable-isotope data has showed that the climate was very similar to present day.
