Assessing Suitability for Conservation Action: Prioritizing Interpond Linkages for the California Tiger Salamander

Article Abstract:

A fuzzy-logic-based decision support system is used along with functionally defined planning units to provide a useful general framework for assessing suitability of conservation sites. This combination method is illustrated using the California tiger salamander species in Santa Barbara, California, and habitat corridors between ponds.
