Behavioural and physiological responses of naive European rabbits to predator odour

Article Abstract:

Naive European rabbits in contact with predators were investigated whether they possessed a mechanism for recognition of odor of a predator and how they responded behaviorally and physiologically to that odor. It was observed that, while the time spent outside the burrow and feeding and the amount of food ingested remained stable, the rabbits recognized the predator odors.

How energy and coavailable foods affect forage selection by the western grey kangaroo

Article Abstract:

Identification of chemical properties of the plant species that match the taste and choice of Macropus fuliginosus, the western grey kangaroo, is presented. High energy pellets are found to be the eating preference of the kangaroo inspite of the vast regional differences.
