Bermuda gets tough over resource collecting

Article Abstract:

Bermuda is rewriting its scientific collection rules completely, in preparation for joining the convention on Biological Diversity as a protectorate of the United Kingdom, which has already adopted the convention. The official at the Bermuda Ministry of the Environment responsible for developing bioprospecting policy states that the government only learned of Diversa's project from a newspaper article.

Nations require a more effective way to coordinate their responses to global environmental problems like global warming, clean air, clean water and biodiversity conservation. However, the United Nations Environmental Programme lacks the power to enforce the growing number of binding environmental agreements between nations and thus requires a strong leadership to handle all the challenges.

Climate change, here and now

The poor and developing nations of the world needs the information and the data about the changing climate of the world, as that will guide them to adopt new policies and interventions. These countries are adopting various new programs and measures for economic development, and primary health care to make maximum use of the available resources for the required development.
