Catastrophic flooding origin of shelf valley systems in the English Channel

Article Abstract:

The analysis of a regional map of the English Channel demonstrates the catastrophic flooding origin o the shelf valley systems in it. The megaflooding is found to lead to the development of patterns of early human colonization of Britain with the reorganization in northwest Europe.

Rise of the Nile delta

Studies conducted by Daniel Stanley and Andrew Warne show the development of agrarian culture in Eygpt since Holocene, and the conditions which existed during the time. They conclude that the growth of civilization in pre-dynastic Eygpt might have taken a different route.

Nile flooding sank two ancient cities

Article Abstract:

Issues are presented concerning the discovery of the ancient cities of Herakleion and Eastern Canopus in Egypt's Abu Qir Bay at depths of between 6- and 7-meters. River bank failure, which triggered flooding, is thought to have flooded them.
