Article Abstract:

Biotechnology companies have started employing more synthetic organic chemists, thus offering more opportunities as compared to the recruitments offered during the year 1995. Genzyme, Genentech in South San Francisco, and Arrow Therapeutics are some of these biotech companies that have offered a better opportunity for the one whose skill sets are amenable to biotechnology applications.

The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) is searching for schemes to address repatriates salary issues as part of a bid to internationalize its workforce and to build better facilities in targeted areas. The wireless telecommunication application WiMAX is among ITRI's most promising platforms with bigger bandwidth and wider range than existing technologies.

Universities such as Cambridge, Oxford and London are working together as a 'golden triangle' for solving various problems and attracting new students. The universities within this 'golden triangle' believe that a bigger population of foreign students could helps revitalize the country's knowledge economy especially in areas like mathematics, physics and chemistry.
