Fresh assault on hepatitis C

Article Abstract:

The Hepatitis C virus (HCV) that attack the liver is a severe medical problem which frustrates not just the human immune system , but also drug developers and virologists. The current treatment for HCV involves weekly injections of pegylated interferon, and daily oral administration of another drug, ribavirin.

Studies reveal that calcium-activated protein phosphate calcineurin plays vital role in releasing Xenopus laevis eggs from cell cycle arrest in the meiotic metaphase.
