Comparing king, gentoo, and royal penguin responses to pedestrian visitation

Article Abstract:

Comparison of different types of penguins and determination of inter-species differences in the behavioral responses of seabirds to visitation is done. It is seen that the gentoo penguin appeared to be more sensitive that king or royal penguins, exhibiting altered behavior for five minutes after the stimulus was removed.

Coyote abundance, sheep predation, and wild prey correlates illuminate Mediterranean trophic dynamics

Article Abstract:

The Mediterranean trophic dynamics among coyote abundance, sheep predation and wild prey variables in north-coastal California, U.S.A. was tested for and quantified. It was found that wild prey biomass acts as a buffer on sheep predation by coyotes in the community.
