Cosmetic surgery for animals: trauma for owners vanity

Article Abstract:

Cosmetic surgery in animals alters body parts for the convenience of pet owners. The more common procedures are tail docking performed on two to three day old puppies and ear cropping done on specific dog breeds at nine to 12 weeks. Cat declawing is a painful process that entails the amputation of 10 toe bones.

Henry Spira: if animals had a union, he'd negotiate their contract

Article Abstract:

Henry Spira is the founder and head of Animal Rights International. He has been waging a campaign against the inhumane treatment of chickens by targeting Perdue Farms Inc.. He also began the campaign against Revlon Inc. which successly caused Revlon to end product testing on animals.
