Curly cues

Article Abstract:

A study on Black Swan, Cygnus atratus, that the Black Swan's singular appearance is matched by some unconventional social and behavioural traits. Although the curly features appear to play some important role in mate choice, their signalling function is not limited to the context of choosing a life partner.

Blind gudgeon

Article Abstract:

The bind gudgeon, the first aquatic cave-dwelling vertebrate found in the Australasia region is described. It is about five centimeters in length with white translucent appearance, lacking eyes and skin pigmentation.
