Diurnal versus nocturnal surveys for California red-legged frogs

Article Abstract:

The diurnal and nocturnal surveys for California red-legged frogs, which are conducted at sites in the California Coast Range and Sierra Nevada foothills, are compared to determine the difference in detections, if any. Results support nocturnal surveys because they result in higher detection of California red legged frogs and generally help in easy reliable identification of frogs.
