Effects of season and photoperiod on food storing by black-capped chickadees, Parus atricapillus

Article Abstract:

The examination of food storing by black-capped chickadees in two experiments shows that food-storing is regulated by photoperiod in a similar fashion to other yearly fluctuating behavior patterns such as breeding and migration in birds. The impact of photoperiodic history on storing employing the data from the final stage of the experiment was tested when the birds were in similar situations.

Female mate choice in swordtails and mollies: Symmetry assessment or Weber's law

Article Abstract:

There has been much discussion about the idea that females should prefer potential mates with symmetrical ornaments or other characteristics. New studies with fish are significant as they involve natural features of males attractive to females, raising questions about the mechanisms by why animals assess symmetry.
