Einstein in motion

Article Abstract:

Constant Speed, a Rambert Dance Company is inspired by Einstein's 1905 publication, the World Year of Physics that reveals similarity of language, space, time, energy, between physics and dance. Choreographer Mark Baldwin, the artistic of the Rambert, developed Constant Speed after conversations with Ray Rivers, professor of theoretical physics at Imperial College London.

The a.c. and d.c. Josephson effects in a Bose-Einstein condensate

Article Abstract:

The alternating- and direct-current (a.c. and d.c.) Josephson effects are observed in a single Bose-Einstein condensate Josephson junction. The chemical potential-current relation of the Bose-Einstein condensate Josephson junction has shown that the device is suitable for use as an analogue of the superconducting quantum interference device.

Abstraction and idealism: from Plato to Einstein: how do we acquire knowledge?

Article Abstract:

Abstraction and the formulation of ideals are the closely connected and automatic processes that form the basis for the ability to acquire all knowledge. These processes are found in any efficient knowledge-acquiring system.
