Experimental evidence for microscopic chaos

Article Abstract:

Many macroscopic systems display random or erratic time evolution, despite the deterministic attributes of their dynamics. It has been assumed that microscopic chaos within the constituent atoms and molecules accounts for this phenomenon but it has remained unverified. A new study of a colloidal particle suspended in water reveals evidence of microscopic chaos in a fluid system in the form of brownian motion.

When instability makes sense

Article Abstract:

Mathematics models are used to hint that instabilities that can be used to represent and process information in the brain. It is seen that the mathematical models of the sense of smell, switching among unstable states would be responsible for the generation of characteristics patterns of neutral activity and thus information representation.

Synchronization from chaos

Article Abstract:

Creating a semblance of order in interconnected dynamical systems is not considered easy. However, a mathematical tool could be the means to synchronize systems more effectively, thus limiting the chaos.
