Extracting humans from nature

Article Abstract:

The challenge of measuring global change in wild nature: are things getting better or worse?

Article Abstract:

The global trends in natural habitat areas and indices of animal population characteristics of those habitats are reviewed. A continuous decline in habitat area and species is indicated. A dearth of information on trends at global scale is most striking.
