First-generation black-hole forming supernovae and the metal abundance pattern of a very iron-poor star

Article Abstract:

The first generation of stars in the universe would be as massive as hundred solar masses, due to inefficient cooling of the precursor gas clouds. It is reported that the patterns of elemental abundance in the most iron-deficient star, HE0107-5240 are in good accord with the nucleosynthesis that occurs in stars.

Low-mass relics of early star formation

Article Abstract:

The recent discovery of the most iron poor star known indicates the presence of dust in extremely low-metallicity gas. It has also been proved that this dust is crucial for the formation of lower-mass second-generation stars that could survive until today.

The shape of the Universe

Article Abstract:

According to astronomy, the Universe is finite. It has a rigid topology. The argument is whether the Universe is 'open' or 'closed', which means it is spatially infinite containing an infinite amount of matter.
