Functional dissection of protein complexes involved in yeast chromosome biology using a genetic interaction map

Article Abstract:

An epistatic miniarray profile (E-MAP) consisting of measurements of various genetic interactions is presented to study the functional relationships and dissection of the multi-protein complexes, which are involved in the yeast chromosome biology. The results of the analyses prove that the investigation of E-MAPs can lead to a high precision study of the various complex biological pathways and hence can be used to analyze metazoans using technologies like the RNA interference.

Interaction network containing conserved and essential protein complexes in Escherichia coli

Article Abstract:

An interaction network of protein complexes involved in diverse biological processes was uncovered and validated by sequential rounds of tagging and purification. This network includes many new interactions as well as interactions predicted based solely on genomic inference or limited phenotypic data.

Listeriolysin O allows Listeria monocytogenes replication in macrophage vacuoles

Article Abstract:

A new approach for the replication of Listeria monocytogenes in macrophage vacuoles by the action of listeriolysin O (LLO) is discussed. LLO is found to be of great significance for the formation of the spacious Listeria-containing phagosomes.
