Harmonies from noise

Article Abstract:

Cell signaling is garbled by chemical noise-random fluctuations in the concentrations of different molecular constituents both inside and outside the cell. Several mathematical models, which suggest that noise, could create synchronous oscillations in cell-cell signaling systems are presented.

Interpreting inclusive evidence

Article Abstract:

Crystallization of ascending magma affects the style of volcanic activity. Crystallization occurs in response to decompression caused by degassing of the magma in isothermal conditions and it influences eruptive intensity through the resulting increase in magma viscosity.
