Integrating economics into priority setting and evaluation in conservation management

Article Abstract:

Different approaches used in priority setting and evaluation in conservation management is examined by reviewing the conservation, economic, and environment policy literature on the evaluation of conservation efforts. The evaluation and prioritization in conservation management are needed in the initial and eventual stages of program effectiveness.

Distribution of carabid beetles (Coleoptera, Carabidae) across a boreal forest - clearcut ecotone

Article Abstract:

Carabid beetles (Coleoptera, Carabidae) and their distribution across a boreal forest including forest fragments, edges, and adjacent clearcuts have been studied in Finland. Edge effects seem not to adversely affect the species involved, at least not in the short term.
