Lifting the taboo on adaptation

Article Abstract:

The reports of the Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) have given reasons for not enforcing the adaptation of climate policy. Adaptation should be made institutionalized at a level of intensity and investment so that climate impacts will mount intense, regardless of even the most effective cuts in greenhouse-gas emissions.

Climate sceptics switch focus to economics

Article Abstract:

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report is considered to be a model of consensus science, but its focus is continuing to shift with each year. Environmental scientists believe that taking proper action of climate change might have dire economic consequences as small changes in policy might lead to a recession.
