An overview is presented on insects as pets, and the environmental and ethical issues surrounding trade. Some insects have specific conditions under which they can thrive, and others can inflict ecological damage if they escape. The key factor behind species endangerment is habitat loss.

Snow cat collared

Article Abstract:

The placement of a satellite tracking collar to a snow leopard by conservationists in Pakistan is discussed. The collar will help in the collection of information needed to save the endangered animal.

New endangered species legislation in Ontario

The passage of Ontario, Canada's new Endangered Species Act is discussed. The possible extinction of certain species in the province is also tackled.
