Mix and match: The hunt for what makes us human

The chimpanzee and us

Article Abstract:

The DNA sequence of human genome and that of chimpanzee differ by only a few percent. Although the two genomes are very similar, there are about 35 million nucleotide differences, 5 million indels and many chromosomal rearrangements to take into account.
