NASA threatens to axe science on space station

Article Abstract:

The US Space Agency NASA might temporarily stop scientific research on the International Space Station, at least for a year from 2006, to cut costs, as it is facing difficulties in funding its Moon mission. It is widely believed by the scientific community that a year-long suspension of research might affect the experiments being conducted on the station, and rehired staff and replaced equipment to restart the experiments would be more expensive than the money saved by the stalling of the research projects.
