Natural disturbances and mining of Panamanian coral reefs by indigenous people

Article Abstract:

Traditional use of Panama's coral reefs by the indigenous Kuna people is contributing to the decline of living coral cover, a decrease of 79% between 1970 and 2001. During that time, the Kuna population has risen by 62%. Environmental research results and the consideration of a cultural change have led the Kuna to accept data on coral reef conservation priorities.

Roads and Landscape Pattern in Northern Wisconsin Based on a Comparison of Four Road Data Sources
