No farewell to arms?

Article Abstract:

The North Korea is continuing with an active nuclear program after claiming similar weapons possessed by neighboring countries of Japan and North Korea. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has shown a vote of confidence to Japan after the inspection. The South Korean scientists have conducted experiments on enriching uranium in the year 2000 but did not reported to IAEA about the event.

Hope for best, prepare for worst

Article Abstract:

The nervousness in the mind of East Asian people and the views of scientists about the news of the North Korean President Kim Jong-II probably having nuclear weapons is discussed. The discussion focuses on the aspect that whether researchers should leave decisions considering to military application of science to politicians.

Middle East: Politics and power plays

Article Abstract:

Middle East countries such as Iran and Israel are promoting undeclared nuclear-weapons research programme. Iran plans to build six nuclear power stations out of which five is thought to include efforts to produce both plutonium and highly enriched uranium.
