Nuclear chiefs scotch story on frailty of ageing warheads

Article Abstract:

The important US nuclear warhead, W76 is found to have a flaw in its design of its casing, which could cause it to explode with much less force than expected. Harold Agnew, former director of the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico states that all the accusations against W76 is found to be wrong and there is no problem with the design of W76.

The US President George W. Bush outlined his vision for America's human spaceflight programme in 2004 that marks a radical new direction for Amrica's human spaceflight program. The NASA, which is under pressure from many fronts to make that vision more affordable, is working out a strategy to communicate it more effectively to the public.

Main agencies hang on to funds in skimpy US science budget

Article Abstract:

On February 7, 2005, President George W. Bush laid out his US$2.57-trillion plan for federal government spending in the 2006 fiscal year, which will present challenges to science agencies and programmes. The proposed budget cuts federal spending in science and technology by 1.4% next year, to $60.8 billion.
