Powerhouse of disease

Article Abstract:

A research is carried out to prove that mitochondrial deficiency could theoretically give rise to any symptom, in any organ, at any age and faulty mitochondria might cause diseases such as diabetes. Defective mitochondria in the pancreases fail to burn sufficient glucose, so the levels of ATP in pancreatic cells are abnormally low, and cells rely on ATP levels to help them estimate the amount of glucose in the blood resulting in cells not sensing glucose and not releasing appropriate amounts of insulin and the blood glucose level to rise.

Article Abstract:

Bacteria in the role of the best electrochemists, creating a life-powering flow of electrons in a starting range of conditions is presented. It is described that the discovery of bacteria capable of this anaerobic ammonia oxidation or anammox reaction in the late 1990s, was a high water mark for the rising tide of what might be called microbial triumphalism.
