Radio and optical connected

Article Abstract:

An associative use of radio, infrared and optical emission-line data directly correlate the interstellar medium parameters with the galaxies and their counterparts in the local Universe. The detected parameters are magnetic field strength, density, dust-to-gas ratio and metallicity which can give some insight into galactic evolution. The stars in the galaxy heat the interstellar dust using infrared emissions that are subsequently estimated from the radio data targeted by local disks.

Evidence that the z=3.4 radio galaxy B2 0902 + 34 may be a protogalaxy

Article Abstract:

Observations of the radio galaxy B2 0902 + 34 using the new CGS4 spectrometer indicate that the former might be a protogalaxy. Data suggests that the very high redshift of B2 0902 + 34 is due to the presence of doubly ionized oxygen rather than to old age. The low optical luminosity of the galaxy further suggests that it is still in the initial stages of star formation. It is still unknown whether other young high redshift radio galaxies such as B2 0902 + 34 exist.
