Reading the hedgehog morphogen gradient by measuring the ratio of bound to unbound patched protein

Article Abstract:

An attempt is made to show that a cell's measure of ambient active (unliganded) Ptc molecules. It is found that Hh-bund Ptc can titrate the inhibitory action of unbound Ptc.
