Rebuilding the past

Article Abstract:

Fuat Sezgin, professor emeritus of the history of science at the University of Frankfurt reconstructs a host of scientific treasures using ancient Arabic texts in the museum. He has dedicated his life to retrieve Arabic science history and is keen to exhibit his work to the public.

Going multidisciplinary

Article Abstract:

Multidisciplinary programmes can be run by a single department or can be interdepartmental or involve several schools. As multidisciplinary programmes are relatively new, postdocs and graduate students also have to be creative in finding funding.
