Saturn's bared mini-moons

Article Abstract:

A discovery related with the rings formed around Saturn revealed propeller shaped structures as moonlets, about 100 meters in diameter. The ring system's global distribution of particle sizes including the embedded moons, the population of intermediate-sized boulders identified provides evidence for processes of particle fragmentation and reaccretion in the rings that are probably still going on.

Slow dust in Enceladus' plume from condensation and wall collisions in tiger stripe fractures

Article Abstract:

The formation of slow dust from condensation and the wall collisions in tiger stripe fractures near the south pole of Saturn's moon Enceladus are discussed. The findings show that the wall-collisions lead to the formation of water below the Enceladus' south pole.

A belt of moonlets in Saturn's A ring

Article Abstract:

The detection of eight new propeller-shaped features in Saturn's A ring, which supports the theory of catastrophic ring creation in a collisional cascade, is reported.
