Saving the supermarket of the sea

Article Abstract:

The Patagonian continental shelf, off the coast of Argentina is an important source of food for may marine animals. Parts of the Patagonian coasts where animals breed are protected but their feeding sites are not. There is a need to establish marine protected areas because some unsustainable fisheries affect feeding areas by overfishing and accidental catch of non-target species.
