Shaking the foundations

Article Abstract:

Pakistan lies in one of the world's most active seismic zones, however, it lacked proper information regarding earthquakes and infrastructure to deal with disaster management. In the wake of the 2005 earthquake which killed at least 73,000 people, government has pledged millions of dollars to build new seismic network, and local universities are ramping up programmes in seismology and earthquake engineering to improve infrastructure and educate common man in disaster management.

Article Abstract:

The analysis explains the discovery and the identification of the various dark matter and dark energy that are expected to constitute the unseen and undiscovered part of the Universe. One of the theories explaining the discovery of the dark matter states that it was only invoked to provide the extra required gravity.

Cosmologists cluster to plot course towards dark energy

Article Abstract:

Cosmologists planning about a strategy to perform surveys of distant energy to collect more information about dark energy are discussed. The plan involves constructing about 15 telescopes at different observatory centers to aid with existing ones to track down cluster of galaxies.
