The control of biological invasions in the world's oceans

Article Abstract:

A framework that provides decision-making guidance to policymakers, managers, scientists and other stakeholders to control established populations of alien marine species is presented. The framework consists of a series of steps, which can help governments more effectively achieve their goals of controlling established population of alien species and also help provide a foundation for international cooperation.

Get off the train and walk

Article Abstract:

Conservation biologists need to be politically active, as our civil liberties have started to follow biodiversity into oblivion and environmentalists are described as terrorists. There is a need to generate much more ethical discussion within the society focusing on issues such what human life is all about and what each generation's stewardship responsibility should be all about.
