A need is felt to save the Florida panther epitomize as fewer than 90 of the creatures cling to fragments of habitat in southern Florida. Hence, Conservation International, based in Washington DC are making efforts and recognized 34 hotspots that occupy 2.3% of the Earth's land surface and are the sole home of half the world's vascular plant species and 42% of terrestrial vertebrates.

Online resources threaten livelihood of libraries

Article Abstract:

The closure of some of the major libraries of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Washington DC and NASA decision to downsize it network of libraries has sparked international protest. Libraries are working towards reinventing themselves in a digital world in which online access is fast reducing the need for rows of books and stacks of journals.
